Getting Started

Let's get started using CloudScend Foresight!

System Requirements​

Before you begin, ensure your machine meets these minimum system requirements for running the CloudScend Foresight product.

  • You must have access to a browser that has been verified to successfully run the CloudScend Foresight product. The following browsers have been verified.

  • Your source code and artifacts must be accessible to machine running the CloudScend Foresight product

Security Considerations​

We have spent considerable time and effort to ensure your data and source code are well protected. Your information is passed through HTTPS secure encryption. We have evaluated CloudScend Foresight against the NIST Special Publication 800-171 for protecting controlled unclassified data and the NIST Special Publication 800-53 regarding vulnerabilities. And as of the build's production release date, we have addressed any critical and severe vulnerabilities on our containers as provided by MITRE’s Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) list.

First Time Login​

All first time users of CloudScend Foresight will need to create and setup an account.

Create Account​

First you will need to register for your account and create a password in the CloudScend Foresight Keycloak instance.

1. Open a web browser and go to your CloudScend Foresight site. Your CloudScend Foresight admin should provide you with the url for the application within your environment. This will take you to the CloudScend Foresight login screen.

2. Click on the Register link to create your account.

3. Enter your name, email, a unique username and desired password, making sure to confirm your password by entering it a second time to register for a CloudScend Foresight account. Note: All passwords must follow the password guidelines below.

5. Click Register to create your user account.

6. Once you have created your account, you are ready to log in. On the CloudScend Foresight login screen, simply enter your username or email and password and select Log In.

Once you are logged in you can begin managing your applications.

Security and Password Management​

Whether you are creating a new account or setting a new password, you must select a password for CloudScend Foresight that meets the following criteria:

  • Must have a minimum length of 8 characters
  • Must contain at least one upper case character
  • Must contain at least one lower case character
  • Must contain at least one numeric character
  • Must be changed every 180 days
  • Must not be the same password as the previous 24 passwords
